See this archived AN/I thread for background. CornyTheEditor, OffifialEditor, and ObjectAnimator were confirmed to be sockpuppets of DavidWittas. Last week, the vandal returned with 115.97.44.231 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), which is currently blocked.
The ObjectAnimator account's edits were generally adding nonsensical car assembly locations and promptly self-reverting. This is what the IP was doing last week, and this new account is behaving identically. Sable232 (talk) 15:20, 22 May 2022 (UTC)

The more I look at these sorts of situations the more convinced I am that all articles about production cars probably need permanent extended-confirmed protection. I don't know why this type of article attracts so much sockpuppetry and disruptive IP editing, but it seems extremely pervasive. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 04:34, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Restoring the edits of previous IPs and socks, e.g. [8], [9], [10], [11]. The IP is from a range known to be used by DavidWittas, but the recent accounts were blocked as socks of MrDavr. I'm puzzled at the link between the two because MrDavr started out with a completely different editing style than DavidWittas, but I'll leave that assessment aside; Pufferfishmax appears to be a sock regardless. Editing out of a range that would be consistent with MrDavr - I think it's fairly likely that the two cases are the same person. This account's third edit was to restore a disruptive edit from an IP used by this LTA. "List of <manufacturer> vehicles" were a favorite target of DavidWittas and the most frequent kind of page edited by this account, although the edits are not as obviously disruptive. Most recently, this barely-comprehensible post on my talk page where the user thanks me for reverting "their" edit - one that was made by DavidWittas' most recent IP sock, 122.164.83.39 (talk · contribs · WHOIS).
